Super quick cooking

Hey Blogletts,
So where I am in the UK it has been rather humid and hot for the past few days, I'm all for a bit of hot but there is no movement of cool air. This just makes people feel lazy and hot food on top of the heat is just a thought that does not want to cross my mind.
So I thought I would share a super quick, light meal I cook on days like this - crab tagliatelle.

First of all, I simply cook some pasta (they didn't have tagliatelle at my local coop so pasta will have to do).
Then whilst this is cooking I chop up half of a yellow pepper. Any pepper would do and any amount, this is just what I prefer.
When the pasta is done, I drain it off, shake it out, letting the water drain off and the pasta to cool down.
I then take a tin of crab, pour the 'juices' over the pasta then distribute the crab throughout.
I then take the pepper and fry it in soy sauce, oh my gosh tastes so goood.
Finally put it all on a plate and hey presto, super quick, easy, yummy dinner.

So I hope this is useful for those humid, 'sweaty' days (nice Holly nice). Also if you're a little lazy in the kitchen like me it doesn't involve much!

What's your perfect food for these muggy days? - found the word I was looking for - muggy.
Bye for now xx

My top 3 perfumes

Hey Blogletts,
So I recently was given a gift set for my favourite perfume which rekindled my love for it and some of my other perfumes. I thought I would just share these with you.
First of all, my favourite perfume is Thierry Mugler 'Angel' perfume. I LOVE THIS. My mum used to wear this all the time so it reminds me of my childhood and good memories, which I like in a perfume. On the debenhams website the descrition is a load of tosh so I won't relay this but I feel it is quite a mature scent but light enough to wear in the day and slightly fruity, not too much though.
This is only 25ml so the bottle looks a little different. The full size price is around £45 a little pricey but when this runs out I will purchase this again.

So my second favourite is another Thierry Mugler and it's 'Alien'. This is more of a night time perfume as it is strong, a little goes a long way. This scent is difficult to describe, it is more mature than angel, the website says zesty, not sure about that.

This is only a sample but as I said a little goes a long way, it can be overpowering so if you put too much on, try flapping about a bit. The full size is again around £45 and I will repurchase, just may take a while.

Finally the wonder which is Ange ou demon by Givenchy. Again more of a mature scent, oriental flower like some may say. I like this but again more for going out as it's a little strong again.

I like this bottle the most, so classy. The price is around £40 so not as pricey as the others.

EXTRA

I thought I would add a runner up. G perfume I loved this then some stuff has gone down with the company who I can't spell the name of (harijuku). This is super fruity and great for the summer. You can still sometimes find this in TKMaxx, the most stressful shop but they do have great beauty baragains!

So that was my top 3 perfumes.
Hope you enjoyed!
What's your favourite perfume?

What's in my bag? #2 mini pouch of wonder

Hey Blogletts,
I wasn't expecting to do the second part of 'what's in my bag' so soon, but I thought I am on study leave at the moment so procrastination has lead me here ( I would also start to forget).
So if you didn't read my last post, I am doing a series of 'what's in my bag.' I don't want to do a mamoth long post so I am sectioning it up. Plus my bag contents generally stays the same, they just get shifted from bag to bag.
You may notice a theme of pouches or mini bags appearing and that is because I like to keep my bag organised and know where to find things there and then.
This pouch just contains random bits and pieces that are useful but don't really fit in anywhere else.
Here it is, with cute little cupcakes on. Not sure where it is from as it was a gift, sorry.
Okay so next, I have a fear of smelling bad so I generally will have a body spray on me at all times (I don't smell a lot I just want to smell nice). This is a Ted Baker one I got in a set for Christmas and I adore this smell plus it tends to last a little longer than the usual body spray

Then I am a bit of a germ freak so have a bottle of hand sanitizer (along with about 3 others in different places in the bag). I am really a fan of this one, it has a nice lemony smell, kind of like toilet cleaner, but it makes me feel clean and sanitized

I will also carry a hand cream as I like to have softy softy hands, there is nothing worse than dry feeling hands, dry feelings make me cringe . This is a small version of the infamous Loccitaine hand cream, love it! A cheaper alternative is the soap and glory hand food which smells amazing.

I carry around a moisturiser, just because when I have a cold and blow my nose (gross but it happend) my skin can tend to get a little dry so I depotted some Loreal Revitalift in a clarins sample pot. I have no opinion on this moisturiser, its good for dry skin but as I have oily I only use it for this purpose.

Next I carry a mini nail file. My nails are weak and bendy so tend to rip, that means they usually get caught on things like clothing, so having a file just means I can get rid of the rough edges.

Then just some random bits, some change and safety pins.

So I hope you enjoyed this and keep an eye out for the next post!
Do you keep pouches or not? let me know

Bye for now xx

What's in my bag? #1 makeup bag

Hey Blogletts,
So I thought I would do a what's in my bag post, however instead of boring you with everything in one big go I am going to break it up into sections. My bag may constantly change but the contents is pretty much the same so this series will show you what is in there you nosy lot.
First of all my makeup bag. I don't tend to carry tooo much around with me but some products are my bag staples for throughout the day.
The bag itself I got from a valentines day blog swap. It has pretty bows on and is a good size although there is a lot of spare room ....

Now for the contents :

Maybelline dream matte powder, sadly have hit pan on this. This is my staple powder and as I have OILY skin I carry it around everywhere to powder throughout the day

To apply this I use the Bourjois kabuki  , wouldn't really reccomend this, its scratchy and not great to wash, I am considering getting the body shop one

Then I have my Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer. I am not the greatest fan of this and have a pretty love hate relationship with this. I carry it around as it is a spare concealer which is good if mine wears throughout the day, washes by rain or a spot pops up from nowhere, grrr I hate those

Next an eyebrow pencil from Rimmel, I can't find the shade (hazel maybe) but it's a mid brown although my hair is blonde, my eyebrows are dark. I don't tend to fill in my brows, mine are pretty thick anyway and usually I forget but if I'm on the go and feel they look a little sparse of are unrully I quicly whip it through and can use the little brush on the end

A few lip products now. First of all my favourite lip balm, the rose petal salve. Love the texture and taste

Then the 17 mirror shine in beehive, I wear this everyday and I never go anywhere without it

So that's it, I told you it wasn't much but I always carry it everywhere.
I hope you enjoyed this and let me know what makeup you carry around with you if any!
(keep a little eye out for the next whats in my bag)

Bye for now xx

4 from /04 - April favourites

Hey Blogletts,
So I thought I would do a little post on what I had been loving lately.

No1. Stila convertible colour - petunia

This colour is perfect for my skin tone aka pale and ghost like. It is quite a bright pink but can be sheered out when blended, which you have to do pretty quickly before it sets but once it sets its there for good.

No2. Collection 2000 extreme 24 hour felt tip liner

I normally use Loreal super liner however that is running low so I remembered that I used to love this and yes I have rekindeld that love. It is easy to use, pigmented and just great. I also find this easier to wing out compared to the Loreal one. I absolutely love it and the cheap price tag.

No3. MAC All that glitters

This is such a lovely goldy, nudey shimmery colour I have loved wearing all over the lid with a darker brown in the crease. I absolutely love this, not the price though tad on the pricey side but well worth it.

SWATCHES -

Left to right: All that glitters, Collection 2000 felt tip liner and stila convertible colour

No4. Miss sporty liquid concealer

I got this for free a little while ago when I got 2 nail polishes so I wasn't expecting much from this. However I was so suprised to find that I love this! I find the collection 2000 one too difficult to blend although I love the coverage, whereas this is creamy and has medium but buildable coverage. I absolutely love this and it claims it has vitamins E and C. Not sure what this does but hey ho sounds good haha.

So those were my favourites of last month, hope you enjoyed.

Bye for now xx
